'Desperate Housewives' beauty, Eva Longoria has beaten the regular bevy of beauties like Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton and Beyoncé Knowles to the title of the hottest woman on the planet in Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list.
The Sun reports that Longoria is the only star from the TV show to make the list.
She stars as Gabrielle Solis who becomes bored and frustrated because she gets no attention from her wealthy, distant husband and is then driven to have an affair with her teenage gardener.
On being voted as number one, Eva told The Sun: "It’s kind of exciting and shocking all at the same time".
Other regulars listed in the top 20 were Jennifer Garner (at number three), Jessica Alba (five), Angelina Jolie (seven), Brittany Murphy (eight), Cameron Diaz (11) and Charlize Theron (15).
"What's hot about Eva is her smile,her laugh… and following that, her behind," co-star Felicity Huffman told The Sun.
The popular 'Desperate Housewives' series, currently on South African TV screens, showcases the drama, lies, deceit and secrets of four housewives living in the suburbs.
