It will finally happen. It will be a Hindu ceremony. The venue will be Rajasthan.
Liz Hurley is planning a huge wedding next February when she ties the knot with lover Arun Nayar.
Wearing a traditional red sari, accompanied by elephants et al, it will be an Indian princess-style wedding. Liz, who turned 40 at the weekend, has told close friends and relatives to keep an entire month free for the lavish do in Rajasthan.
A source close to the couple told The Mirror: "Liz has made up her mind that she wants an Indian princess-style wedding.
"She loves the colourful traditions of the country and wants to embrace them. She is very keen to involve elephants in some way and hopes to arrive on one - but it depends on logistics and whether it actually fits in with the ceremony.
Her plans are very much in the early stages but she has a very clear idea of what she wants. It will be a spectacular affair with no expense spared to show the world how much she loves Arun."
The wedding is expected to be somewhat similar to that of Arun's brother Nikhil, who married Samantha Carmichael from Cheshire three years ago. The ceremony spanned two weekends in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and Mumbai - with some of the guests spending the days in between in Jaipur.
The night before, the groom's father hosted the sangeet, or singing session, at his rooftop apartment. And the baraat arrived traditionally with the groom riding a horse. For his 40th birthday celebrations last year, Liz and Arun used an elephant as part of a celebration.
